The Last Word...
As the world economy teeters on the edge of a second dip recession, it is encouraging to see so much sensor related activity both commercially and in research. But the balance isn't right! I recently had the opportunity to discuss this point with a leading biosensor academic, why there is so much academic research that never reaches the real world. He agreed, and we talked about the usual reasons why universities are not good at commercialising their technology. Perhaps there is a role for Sensor100 here. Comments are welcome, as always,
