Technology Intelligence Networks: the Contribution of Intermediaries Summary The University of Cambridge Centre for Technology Management has an on-going research program on issues surrounding Technology Intelligence. Technology Intelligence is the process used to identify and capture new technologies which provide the basis for business development. People play a central role in TI systems by establishing external social networks in search of interesting new information and opportunities. The CTM is about to commence a new 1-year project on the Contribution of Intermediaries to TI Networks. Sensor100 Sponsors will collectively be a member of the Steering Group for the project. Objectives and Outcome The project aims to understand how companies can organise their social networks and the role of third parties to help them increase their TI efficiency. Guidance will be developed to assist companies in optimising their TI efficiency by:
Steering Group A group of industrial partners will provide financial support and serve as a Steering Group to the project. To date, Pepsico, Crown Cork, IXC-UK, Doosan Babcock and Shell have agreed to be Steering Group members. Sensor100 intends to participate in the Steering Group, and has agreed with the CTM that Sensor100 sponsors will derive the benefits of Steering Group Members:
