Sensors in Environmental Monitoring

Indoor and outdoor pollution led to the demise of 6.5 million people worldwide in 2012, 11.6 per cent of all deaths.
[World Health Organisation, 2017]

We have become very effective in polluting our environment.

Toxic gases from aeroplanes, cars, industrial processes, and domestic heating and waste disposal are all contributors to air pollution

  Air pollution
water pollution

Water contamination from industrial processes, sewage, agriculture, and domestic waste are all contributors to environmental pollution.

The 3rd annual Sensors for Environmental Monitoring conference objective is to identify applications of sensor technology which can significantly impact environmental monitoring. To achieve this, the conference will bring together academic and commercial leaders in sensor technology and environmental science and technology. As in previous years, the conference will include invited and submitted papers, poster exhibits and an exhibition.
