Technical sessions at the conference were
focused on Point of Care Diagnosis, Future
Technology, Breath Analysis and Wearable Sen-
sors. Common themes highlighted by several
speakers included problems of calibra�on
and sensor dri�. A large number of Point-of-
Care diagnos�c devices are appearing on the
market, perhaps too many was suggested by
Dr. Paru Deshpanke
(Imec, Belgium).

sensor technology limited applica�ons; elec-
trochemical sensors were o�en not sufficiently
selec�ve and sensi�ve for medical use.
