The Electronics Sensors Photonics Knowledge
Transfer Network (ESP KTN) is funded by the UK’s Technology
Strategy Board to support innovation across a breadth of indus-
trial sectors.The KTN has a series of subgroups, providing focused
activity in particular areas. One of these, the Biosensing group, is a
well established community which provides a platform where re-
searchers, designers, developers and users of biosensors can inter-
act with each other, keep abreast of the research and development
activities in this field and identify issues and opportunities relevant
to their businesses. Join the Biosensing Group
The group hosts 2 events per year.The
next event will be hosted at the Ambas-
sadors Hotel in London, onWednesday the
26th June and will focus on the application
of biosensors in security with particular
reference to the detection of biological or
chemical-based threats; including bacteria,
viruses, explosives, nerve agents etc.The
event will hear from experts regarding the
status of current chemical and biological threats and will include
information on potential sources of UK and US funding.
There is an opportunity to submit a poster presentation. If you are
